Something about me!

I did my Ph.D. (in the field of Structural Bioinformatics) under the guidance of Prof. R. Sowdhamini at National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, India. My native is Udaipur, Rajasthan.

I found my interest in photography when I bought my first camera, Nikon P100, in December 2010. Occasional clicks turned into hobby and later into passion. I click almost everything which pleases my eyes. I shoot fine-arts, macros, nature, landscape, architecture, portraits, candids, events, etc.

Awards and Achievements

I was awarded as the “Best Photographer of the Year” 2012 and 2013 by Pixoto in “Artistic Objects” category and for the year 2013 in “Products and Objects” category. Please visit my Pixoto profile for more details.

I won 1st prize in “Amateur Photography Contest” as conducted by UdaipurTimes (a local online news website in Udaipur) in the month of August, 2013, when one of my images “Saturn_Rings” was selected as the best among the lots by the judges.

One of my images, “My..Army” (chessboard) was among the top 15 images as selected by The International Union of Crystallography and Agilent Technologies. The image was selected for the Australian satellite competition, displayed all over in Australia, and was featured at the SCANZ Crystal29 conference in Queensland. It was also used in the celebratory Agilent/IYCr2014 Academic Calendar for 2014/2015.
