Children Portraits in an Indian Wedding

I recently covered wedding photoshoot for a couple, Deepika and Nitish, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Last week I shared some of the selected photos from the post wedding photoshoot of the couple. This week, I am sharing some of the candid and portrait photographs that I captured of the cute-adorable kids during the wedding.

What all to look for in an Indian Wedding : A Photographer’s Perspective

Bride and Groom, these days, love candids when it comes to photography for their wedding. Although, the trend of capturing photos of all the relatives and friends on-stage is still intact, it is losing its charm.

I feel, photographers should look to expand their insights when it comes to wedding photography. Apart from capturing the candids and on-stage photos of the bride and the groom, photographers also capture “details” in the wedding (wedding rings, bridal/groom dress, flower and light decorations are the most common examples). What they usually miss is photographing cute-adorable kids that happen to attend the wedding.

Kids are always among the best subjects for photography. They show a lot of emotions (and their expression changes over time/course of events in the marriage) which can be ideally captured. This can add both variety and “beauty” to the photographer’s portfolio.

I am sharing some of the selected photos of the children that I captured during the wedding. Hope you will like my work.
